The Defense Advance Research Project Agency's (DARPA's) Near Zero Power Radio Frequency (RF) and Sensor Operations (N-Zero) initiative aims to sprinkle zero-standby power sensoofrs, communications nodes and Internet of Things (IoT) devices over the battlefield, critical infrastructure and perimeters for 24/7 monitoring without having to change batteries.
