OSHA Updates Guidelines for Health and Safety Programs

In October, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released an updated set of Recommended Practices for Safety and Health programs, bringing the original guidelines from 1989 into the 21st century. The purpose of the OSHA guidelines is to help employers improve safety and health in their workplaces, and the updates reflect, among other things, how workplaces and the economy have changes in the last 27 years. OSHA believes these new recommendations will be of particular use to small- and medium-size businesses.
