A new report, "US Wind Industry Annual Market Report, Year Ending 2015," published in April 2016 by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), reported a record total of 88,000 jobs across the industry in early 2016 (including wind project development/construction, equipment manufacturing, field technicians, etc.), a 20-percent jump from the previous year. In addition, according to the report, more wind power was added than any other U.S. electricity source in 2015, including solar.
